DENVER, CO and ORLANDO, FL, July 15, 2026. Consig, the voice AI engine for healthcare platforms, today announced that Brett Shockley has joined its advisory board. Shockley has a long history in the tech industry with over 25 years of leadership in the areas of contact center, customer engagement, and enterprise collaboration.

Shockley is CEO and Chairman of Journey.ai, and this appointment deepens the existing OEM partnership between the two companies, through which Journey's patented Zero Knowledge Network® powers the identity verification layer embedded in every Consig patient outreach call.

"Healthcare is the highest-stakes environment for automated voice interactions, and Consig is building the outbound layer the industry has been waiting for," said Shockley. "Journey's Zero Knowledge architecture gives Consig a configurable, risk-based identity layer. It applies the right verification method for the moment while keeping sensitive patient identity data and authentication inputs out of the voice AI and LLM environment. I am looking forward to working with Consig's team and the rest of the board to bring Consig's innovative solutions to market."

At Avaya, Shockley was SVP and CTO leading Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, and the Avaya Labs research organization. At Cisco, Shockley was the VP/GM of the Contact Center Business Unit where he led the release of the industry's first VoIP contact centers. Shockley co-founded Calabrio, which became a leading workforce optimization platform, and Spanlink Communications, a leader in IVR and CTI applications where he led the company through its IPO and growth phases. He currently serves on the boards of eGain and Spok Holdings, and has previously served on the boards of other enterprise software companies.

Shockley was a 2007 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award winner, University of Minnesota Alumni Lifetime Achievement award winner, and 2008 Minnesota High Tech Association Emerging Technology Company award winner.
